In Picaro, you will find a friendly, family-run tapas bar, (not a restaurant!) just like the ones you will find on any street in Barcelona, Sevilla, Madrid or any little village in Spain. Come for a drink and a bite to eat (or two) and you’ll be transported to a little corner of Spain on Bristol’s Chandos Road, often with a lot of laughter and chatter in our native Spanish language.

Picaro is inspired by our passion for food. Like all Spaniards, we believe that sharing food is the best gift of all and we’re looking forward to welcoming you into our neighbourhood tapas bar and sharing the delicious dishes we grew up with.

Our tapas and pintxos are the much-loved authentic, generous dishes (these are enough to share, rather than a small plate) that you’ll find in local bars across Spain – recipes that have been passed down through the generations. Our tapas are a labour of love, using the freshest ingredients, to bring you a real taste of Spain. There are so many tapas and pintxos that we want you to try – we’ll surprise you every day.

You will not even leave the crumbs on your plates!

Please note that we have high and low tables as well as a bar table. When booking you need to specify if you want a low table.

We also have a lovely garden to sit al fresco this summer.
